Meet Linh Lam

A JOURNEY OF RESILIENCE & CREATIVITY

Born in Vietnam in 1979, Linh Lam immigrated to the United States with his family in 1981 and was raised in San Diego. His journey eventually brought him to Naples, Florida, where his creativity, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit became the foundation of a remarkable career.

Linh entered the decorative arts professionally in the early 2000s. Committed to mastering his craft, he pursued specialized training under internationally recognized decorative artists, including Italian master Nicola Vigini and renowned muralist Sean Crosby. He also worked with accomplished Naples artist Eric Spiegel, further developing his knowledge of decorative painting, murals, trompe-l’œil, Venetian plaster, glazing, custom textures, and specialty finishes.

In 2002, Linh co-founded Beautifaux, a decorative finishing company serving luxury residences and commercial properties throughout Southwest Florida. His work was recognized with a prestigious Sand Dollar Award in collaboration with Robb & Stucky. His artistry and entrepreneurial journey also earned significant local recognition, including three consecutive front-page features in the Naples Daily News.

By 2006, Beautifaux had reached the million-dollar milestone. Although the economic downturn of 2008 brought that chapter to an end, it also inspired Linh to explore new possibilities beyond traditional decorative artistry.

In 2009, Linh founded 360° Coatings and helped engineer two innovative architectural coating systems. ReMARKable was developed as a clear dry-erase coating capable of transforming nearly any properly prepared surface into a writable workspace. Serenity was engineered as a specialized sound-reduction coating designed to help quiet interior environments and reduce sound transfer.

These products allowed Linh to combine artistry, practical problem-solving, and material innovation. Their success demonstrated that his creativity extended beyond producing beautiful finishes—he could also develop new coating technologies that changed how surfaces functioned.

Linh’s journey has included extraordinary accomplishments alongside profound personal and professional challenges. Economic downturns, business losses, the COVID-19 pandemic, and his young son’s battle with cancer tested his strength and priorities. Yet each difficult chapter deepened his resilience, compassion, and determination to rebuild.

In January 2023, Linh founded Beyond Color & Design, bringing together more than two decades of decorative artistry, coatings knowledge, product innovation, and luxury craftsmanship. Based in Naples, the company specializes in Venetian plaster, mineral and mica finishes, custom textures, murals, furniture refinishing, and high-end interior painting.

Today, Linh approaches every project as both an artist and a craftsman. He listens carefully to each client’s vision, studies the architecture and character of the space, and develops a finish created specifically for that environment. His commitment extends beyond the artistry itself to include meticulous preparation, cleanliness, protection, communication, and an exceptional client experience from beginning to end.

For Linh, walls and ceilings are more than surfaces. They are opportunities to create depth, movement, emotion, and character—transforming an ordinary space into an original and enduring work of art.
